Last week I was invited to go along to the Quiz Valentine’s Event in Manchester. We had the opportunity to browse their gorgeous collection of clothes whilst being treated to champagne and personal cupcakes. I fell in love with loads of their clothes but somehow managed to resist temptation to buy anything!

Last Saturday was the amazing clothes swap hosted by Rock on Ruby in Manchester! I feel it is important that I let you know that I haven’t had my camera for about a week. Unfortunately this event fell into this said week so the photos for today’s blog post are limited to iPhone only. I hated not having my camera but I had to make do! Anyway, lets get back to the main point of this post – Rock on Ruby!

As soon as I come home for Christmas I just can’t seem to get myself out of the kitchen! There are so many amazing things to make and there is so much creative potential. I absolutely love trying out new things and this year I wanted to try and make some Baileys Cupcakes. I love Baileys so much and the result was delicious! I used a basic chocolate cupcake recipe from Baking mad and then added 1 tsp of Baileys to the cake mixture. Furthermore, to make the cakes more interesting, I split the mixture into blonde and chocolate then swirled it together… read on to see the marbled effect!

Today marks the beginning of a build up to Christmas and all things wintery. Although there is so much to look forward to and so many things I love about this time of year, the cold and dark nights can sometimes put a downer on our moods. I can’t believe how early it started getting dark today! So, I thought I would share with you a couple of simple cupcake recipes: so cute, tasty and colourful, the perfect baking treat to lighten up one of those grey and rainy days.
