When Paul Hollywood’s latest range of Ready to Bake Bread Rolls landed on my doorstep, I decided I wanted to make something REALLY delicious with them. Bread is always very scrummy but when it has been created by one of the UK’s most renowned bakers, you can’t get much better then GBBO now can you, I knew they were going to be special.
A few weeks ago I was invited to The Decanter in Leeds for an afternoon of wine tasting. The bar itself was a very sophisticated and intimate affair, complete with dim lighting; dark, mysterious furniture; and stylish exposed brick walls. I was excited to learn more about the art of wine tasting. I enjoy a glass of wine every now and again so it was really useful to learn more about wine and how to detect all the different flavours – I think my Dad would be impressed with my new found knowledge!
There’s only a little time left before gloves and mittens become mandatory cold weather wear. Instead of subjecting my fingers to frostbite when the temperature dips, I’ve decided I would rather make their last few weeks in the sunlight more beautiful with a few accessories. The question is, however, which ones to choose?
In August I ran my first ever half marathon. It was an incredible personal achievement and one that I will never forget. Although it was gruelling and difficult on the day, it left me buzzing to run more races. However, I made some mistakes and learnt a lot both whilst I was training and on race day itself. I am by no means an expert, very far from it, this is just some of the advice I wish I had had that may be of interest 🙂
