Warehouse Culotte Jumpsuit and The Urban Garden Party!

One trend that I am totally in love with at the moment is culottes. They first caught my attention when Victoria from InTheFrow modelled them at London Fashion Week. Although I think they look incredible, I never thought I would be able to pull them off myself. I wasn’t sure that the mid-calf cut would be flattering on my frame. However, when Warehouse asked me to work with them on an outfit post in advance of their Urban Garden Party, I had a browse of their clothes and fell head over heels with this jumpsuit. The high quality tailoring and beautiful cream shade make it super sophisticated.

An afternoon with Leeds Victoria Quarter

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

One of the things that I love so much about Leeds is the amazing city centre. Not only is there is a huge variety of shops, cafes and restaurants, there are areas with the most incredible architecture. Ever since discovering Leeds at the university open day (way back when) I fell in love with the gorgeous Victoria Quarter. It is here that you will find the more upmarket shops and they couldn’t be placed in a more glamorous setting. Last week I was invited here for an exclusive preview of the Spring Beauty Fix, an event that is happening at the Victoria Quarter on the 25th – 26th April.

It promises to be an event full of ‘expert beauty advice, exclusive offers, discounts and demonstrations’. If my little taster afternoon last week is anything to go by, it sure is something not to be missed! If you’re in or around the Leeds area I would really recommend that you pay a visit.

Let me whet your appetite with a little account of what we got up to! Continue reading An afternoon with Leeds Victoria Quarter

RefME Referencing App Review

RefME referencing app to help essay writing

The sun is starting to shine, the days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer. It can only mean one thing… Exam and deadline season! As much as I love this time of year, the first few months of beautiful weather have been spent revising and meeting deadlines for as long as I can remember now. The sound of the ice cream van evokes memories of note making and the first time I can step out of the house without my coat on is most probably on a trip to the library… *sigh.* I can’t quite believe that it is that time of year again. I swear last time I looked it was Christmas?!

The Trench Coat in Paris

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

If you follow me on Instagram or twitter you may know that I recently went to Paris. I had been wanting to visit ‘The City of Love’ for so long so it was the most perfect 21st birthday present from my parents. (Thank you, thank you, thank you!) As you can probably imagine, I took so many photographs. (I also took quite a bit of video footage but that’s a story for another day…) I have a lot of Parisian blog posts up my sleeve – think travel, food and fashion – and I can’t wait to publish them in my little corner of the internet. Here is the first, enjoy!

Easter Sunday

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Nothing beats waking up on Christmas morning and seeing that Santa has been… but one thing that does come close is waking up on Easter morning to see if the Easter bunny paid a visit. Every year without fail,  the inner child in me can’t wait to find out what the rabbit has brought with him this year. (Unfortunately we don’t leave him a bunch of carrots… we really do spoil Santa with his gin and mince pie). Continue reading Easter Sunday

Baking Blondies!

white chocolate and blueberry blondies, baking

Hands up who loves a gooey, warm batch of blueberry and hazelnut blondies, oozing with melted white chocolate and milk chocolate chips… Yes? Well I made a batch of these the other day and they are just heaven. I figured that seeing as Easter was fast approaching (well it was when I made them) I might as well get the burning desire to bake the indulgent goodies out of my system before I settle down into a pre-summer healthy regime.

Filmore and Union, Leeds

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

If you’re a regular around here you may have read one of my previous posts all about eating clean. I love experimenting with healthy foods and trying out nutritious alternatives. Recently I have been on a major chia seed hype! Filmore and Union is all about providing ‘fresh, unprocessed food which is also delicious’. There is a wide selection of gluten free and vegan food with an emphasis on natural eating and feeling healthy. I love their ethos and when I found out there was a restaurant in the beautiful Victoria Quarter in Leeds I went along to try out their menu. Not only is the food incredible but the decor and design is so aesthetically pleasing and photogenic. I found my self unable to stop clicking away on my camera, it is a blogger’s dream!
